Customizing Components

Components can be customized to best suit your product's needs. Many of these settings are found on all types of components. These settings are listed on the General Settings page. 

Some customizations vary by the component category and type. These categories include Hero, Header, Content, Code, Standout, Pattern, Media, and Container.

Category Name

Description

Hero components are often used as the first component on a page to direct attention to the title/subject of that page.

Header components can be used to title sections on your page. 

Content components are what will encompass basic information your documentation will have.

Code components will let you add code snippets to your documentation.

Standout components help to highlight any information you want to make notable to your users.

Pattern components are rows or columns of cards.

Media components allow you to insert videos, GIFs, and pictures into your documentation. 

Container components are components which other components can be placed inside of.
